The American Association of University Women is the nation’s leading voice promoting equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. Their programs focus on developing women’s potential to lead in schools and communities, expanding educational and lifelong learning opportunities, protecting the legal rights of those facing discrimination, advocacy for laws and public policies fair to women, and research.

“I’m excited and inspired by my membership in AAUW, even after 25+ years. It’s the leadership training and development offered. It’s the research findings that power our programming and empower members. It’s the college/university student organizations that help us raise awareness about inequities. It’s about action, outreach, collaborations, and awesome friendships!”

WMG supports, cultivates, and promotes the diverse contributions of women in the arts through exhibitions and other programs that serve, educate, and enrich the community. Woman Made has exhibited works by more than 7500 women artists since 1992, and seeks to directly benefit 600 artists per year through its programs.

“Woman Made Gallery is such a special gem in the Chicago arts community. The gallery’s exhibitions and community and youth programming do much to amplify the artistic voices of women, but also highlight some of the most exciting voices from a myriad of vantage points that are often vulnerable or muted.”

“Her Justice was the response of my prayer. There I met lovely and wonderful workers who assisted me when I was hopeless after I fled my husband’s apartment. My son and I were alone with no family. We found love and family at Her Justice.”
